Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Line a medium rectangular baking dish with baking paper.
Soak 4 dates in a bowl of boiling water for 5-10 minutes. Then remove the dates and take out the stones.
In a blender add the soaked dates, the coconut oil and maple syrup. Blend them together.
Mix the oats, sunflower seeds and raisins in a bowl. (If you’re making this for very young children you might want to blend the sunflower seeds slightly so they are less sharp before adding them in).
Add the blended dates, oil and maple syrup to the bowl of oats, sunflower seeds and raisins, and mix everything until well combined.
Lay the mixture out on your baking dish and push it down with your fingers until it is tightly packed at a thickness of about 1.5 cm.
Cook for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden.
Remove and let cool. Then cut into bars. Enjoy!
